Dr Liz Andrew
My academic and clinical interests are in psychological models of psychosis in particular the experience of hearing voices. In recent years I have been examining the link between trauma and psychotic symptoms and have looked in depth at the way in which individuals cope with very stressing symptoms.
I am currently researching the phenomenon of command hallucinations and exploring the factors underpinning compliance with commands to harm self or others.
I work in a research group with Dr Nicola Gray and Professor Bob Snowden.
