Title: Fearful temperament and the development of social emotions in young children.
Supervisors: Dr Stephanie Van Goozen and Prof Dale Hay
My research explores fearful temperament and the development of social emotions in young children. I am focusing on the role of inhibitory control and fear on later socioemotional functioning. I am especially interested in the physiological measures of fear at present. I work with Prof. Stephanie Van Goozen primarily, collecting data from a longitudinal study focusing on infant stress and coping, and also with Prof. Dale Hay, collecting data from the CCDS longitudinal study.
