Dr Rose Thompson
Rose Thompson is a graduate of the University of Wales College of Medicine and is currently undertaking an ESRC funded PhD in the psychology of persuasion with Geoff Haddock. Her research explores the impact of narratives on attitudes. She works with Transportation theory (Green & Brock, 2000), exploring the mechanisms of attitude change through narratives and the influence on this process of various individual difference constructs. She has presented a number of papers on her research, most recently at the interdisciplinary conference “Narratives and Fiction” at the University of Huddersfield. She is currently working on a number of articles with her supervisor, Geoff Haddock, on narratives and persuasion, and will submit her PhD in 2008.
