Dr Dimitrios Xenias

Research Summary
My research experience concentrates in the areas of social psychology and behavioural research, using quantitative and qualitative methods, in experimental and field studies. Currently, I study sustainability and travel behaviour. As a postdoctoral researcher, I worked on an ESRC project studying intergroup anxiety with various methods including psychophysiology, self report measures, surveys and interviews. My PhD research was on emotion and social psychology; specifically the study of facial expression, emotion and social context. Facial expression is perceived as the most powerful way of communicating one's emotions to others.
